Hi,
Well, I hear turning off the TV and drinking a couple of glasses of wine helps.

You are not alone in the way you feel. I feel like I need to get my daily dose of news via the internet after hearing the local televised news. I mean who cares if some billionaire basket ball player settled his bazar case out of court, or that a mega billionaire is returning to her 16 million dollar home in NY after a short visit to camp cup cake, or that a aging pop star has asked children into his bedroom, or that the people's house is full of $1000$ dollar dresses and suits for designer luncheon's on the tax payers expense, or that we some of the people of the US are more concerned in the price of gas than the deaths and displacement happening in Iraq, or that the media thinks that all of these 'who cares' are the most important news to report. I do! And I am reminded daily that the price of freedom is not free, it takes a lot of work and time. That work and time for most Americans is best found in joining groups like this one.

So I say thanks for allowing us to vent, I am going home soon to have a couple of glasses of wine and listen to the Traveling Wilburys. Do something special for yourself and enjoy some of the day away from the politics and daily dose of the news[sic]!

Ah yes, the network newses are a really GREAT source for keeping up with what   ----pablum is being fed to 'the masses'.  If we didn't keep checking in with this 'source', we wouldn't know what is going on in the public gut/mind!  Really, though, if we don't stay "in touch" with what is being fed INTO the public mind, we would really have to wonder how in the heck such STUFF got IN there!  To debunk it, we have to know what stunk it!

For your kind suggestions. I do not watch or listen to MSM, but unfortunately, I live with someone who is addicted to it. A recently heard comment by said someone was, "Well, how else am I going to find out what's going on in the world?".

Need I say more?
I hear that a couple of glasses of wine a day is good for the heart.

Cheers,
Rose

Your welcome, I also have someone who occassionally watches MSN. But then we have to get our news. And some other sources are less irritating like CNN and PBS, but they too have a slight slant towards their views. Cheers it is, Vickie
